ACTIVITY OF RELIGIOUS GROUP OF BAPTISTS FORBIDDEN IN ANAPA
The Anapa city court banned the activity of the religious group "Anapa Church of the International Union of Churches of Evangelical Christians-Baptists," on the basis of a lawsuit from the inter-district prosecutor's office.
The Baptists have refused to register with the Ministry of Justice. But at the same time they continued to conduct worship services with up to 200 persons.
As a result, the court forbade the activity of the religious organization on the territory of Anapa. They will be able to conduct worship services, but only after removing the violations of the federal law "On freedom of conscience and religious associations." The decision still has not taken legal effect, Anapskoe Chernomore reports.

At the request of the prosecutor, the Anapa city court banned the activity of the local congregation "Anapa Church of the International Union of Churches of Evangelical Christians-Baptists" until the removal of violations of the law on freedom of conscience and religious associations.
In his lawsuit, the prosecutor pointed out that from 2018 to 2020, the congregation engaged in evangelism and distributed informational materials without have informed the department of the Ministry of Justice for Krasnodar territory about the commencement of such activity. He considered this a violation.
In making its decision, the court took into account that the leader of the organization, Peter Klimushin, had already been fined 5,000 rubles in 2018 for missionary activity in violation of the requirements of the law. (tr. by PDS, posted 23 February 2021)

The prosecutor succeeded through a court in getting a ban on the activity of the local religious group of Evangelical Christians-Baptists until the removal of violations of the law that were discovered.
The decision of the Anapa city court ordered "to partially grant the administrative plaintiff's claim of the Anapa inter-district prosecutor against Peter Klimushin for banning the activity of the religious association. And to forbid the activity of the religious group 'Anapa Church of the International Union of Churches of Evangelical Christians-Baptists,' conducted on the territory of Anapa, until the removal of violations of the federal law 'On freedom of conscience and religious associations.'"
The court also took into account that the leader of the religious group, Klimushin, previously, in 2018, was fined 5,000 rubles for missionary activity in violation of the requirements of legislation (part 4, article 5.26 of the Code of Administrative Violations of Law of the R.F.).
