PATRIARCH KIRILL REMOVES LONG-TIME CHURCH ADMINISTRATOR PARKHAEV FROM ALL POSTS

Patrairch Kirill released the general director of the "Sofrino" artistic production enterprise, Evgeny Parkhaev, from the positions he occupied in organizations of the Russian church, the official website of the Moscow patriarchate reported on Sunday [29 July].
The Sofrino enterprise, which E. Parkhaev directed for more than 30 years, since 1987, produces vestments for clergy, icons, and churchware.
In addition, E. Parkhaev directed the St. Daniel's hotel, which belongs to the Moscow patriarchate, and supervised the patriarchal residences in Peredelkino, Chisty Lane, and St. Daniel's monastery.

RPTs CONFIRMS APPOINTMENT OF ANTIUFEEV AS GENERAL DIRECTOR OF SOFRINO
Patriarch of Moscow and all-Rus Kirill appointed Grigory Antiufeev acting general director of the "Sofrino" artistic production association, RIA was told on Monday [30 July] by the primate's press secretary, Priest Alexander Volkov.
"I can confirm that he was appointed director of the Sofrino factory and he took over today; he is conducting business," Volkov said.
The Sofrino enterprise produces icons, vestments, various church vessels, and products of artistic and jewelry art.
On Sunday, the press service of the RPTs primate reported that by order of Patriarch Kirill, 77-year-old Evgeny Parkhaev, who headed Sofrino for more than 30 years, was relieved of his positions that he occupied in organizations of the Russian Orthodox Church. Parkhaev was also the administrator of the St. Daniel's hotel complex of the Moscow patriarchate and supervisor of the patriarchal residences in Peredelkino, Chisty Lane, and St. Daniel's monastery.
In turn, the synod's Department for Relations of Church and Society and News Media clarified that Antiufeev was appointed acting general director of Sofrino on 28 July and on "30 July the former general director, Evgeny Parkhaev, who has reached 77 years of age, stated his agreement to relinquish all responsibilities on the basis of the decision of the hierarchy."
In addition, Hegumena Feofaniya, the mother superior of the Pokrov stauropigial women's monastery of Moscow, was appointed the acting general director of the St. Daniel's hotel, the synod's department added. (tr. by PDS, posted 30 July 2018)
