HR Problem Vignettes
Preparation:
Prepare at least 3 brief vignettes that illustrate human-resource
problems or dilemmas that you have experienced in organizations –
either as a supervisor or employee. Consider vignettes that illustrate
such human-resource issues as motivation, interpersonal relationships,
boss-subordinate interfaces, or others from the reading. Consider the
central ideas of the human-resource frame from our re-framing
discussion and frame teams to see if they help you understand these
experiences in a new way and offer new alternatives for action. Be
prepared to discuss your vignettes in class. You do not need to submit
anything in writing for this assignment, which is an ungraded
assignment that contributes to your
attendance/preparation/participation grade.
Materials will be distributed for In-Basket Exercise to be conducted in
next class.
